About Kilowattlas

In English · På svenska

Kilowattlas is a real-time map of Sweden's power system. Power plants, transmission lines, substations, electricity production, prices, power outages and planned maintenance in one place, updated every 15 minutes.

Official statistics show how much electricity is produced per bidding zone. Kilowattlas shows it per power plant.

Who uses Kilowattlas

The map is used by people with an interest in energy, plant owners, and analysts and consultants in the energy sector.

How we calculate

Production is only published per bidding zone. We calculate the figure per power plant with our own model. The figures are calculated, not measured, and the uncertainty varies between technologies. They are suitable for overview, comparison and analysis, but not as a basis for settlement or real-time operational decisions.

Plants whose owners share their own production through Co-grid show measured values.

If you spot an error, for example in installed capacity, click “Suggest correction” on the plant.
